The Young DSD Receives First Awards – Lo Young DSD Riceve i Primi Riconoscimenti

The new Young DSD, released end of March, is already a best-seller. Michael Lavorgna has reviewed it for Audiostream (http://www.audiostream.com/content/m2tech-young-dsd-dac), praising the analog character of its sound.

Mike wrote: ‘I found its sound to be at once forgiving without sounding overly dark offering up a rich and rewarding sonic palette. The Young DSD DAC is like a comfy sofa of sound, inviting you in to stay as long as you'd like and play whatever music suits your mood. I count these qualities as being among the all-good variety.’

Mike also noticed the high quality of the digitally-controlled analog volume control used inside the Young DSD: ‘I found the Young's volume control to offer no noticeable sonic penalty so those people looking to do without a preamp can consider the Young a good candidate.’

Overall, Lavorgna appreciated the Young DSD so much as to decide to award it with Audiostream’s ‘Greatest Bits’. This is quite an achievement for all of us in M2Tech, as well as the listing of the Young DSD in Stereophile’s Recommended Components of 2014.

Mike ha anche notato l’elevata qualità del controllo di volume analogico a gestione digitale usato nello Young DSD: “Ho trovato che il controllo di volume dello Young DSD non ha alcuna influenza negativa sul suono, per cui chi vuole fare a meno del preamplificatore può considerare lo Young DSD un buon candidato.”

In generale, Lavorgna ha apprezzato lo Young DSD a tal punto da decidere di onorarlo con il riconoscimento “Greatest Bits” di Audiostream. Per tutti noi di M2Tech questo è un importante risultato, così come la decisione di Stereophile di includere lo Young DSD nei Recommended Components per il 2014.
